At least several people were reportedly injured in the wider Moscow-region incidents, including a child, according to regional officials.
The events demonstrate the increasing difficulty of protecting large metropolitan areas from inexpensive, long-range unmanned aircraft.
Ukraine’s Changing Strategy
Ukraine has increasingly relied on drones to strike targets far beyond the immediate front.
The strategy has several potential objectives.
By forcing Russia to defend industrial centers, warehouses, fuel facilities and transportation networks, Kyiv can compel Moscow to spread its air-defense resources over a much wider geographic area.
